I recently stayed at Around The World Backpackers for a week-long trip to explore the city. The kitchen and common areas were always clean and well-maintained, and I loved that there were plenty of extra spices available for use. The location was perfect, just a short 5-minute walk from downtown and a stone's throw away from the bus stops. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable enough for hostel bunk beds. Laundry facilities were available at a reasonable price, making it easy to keep my clothes fresh during the trip.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This backpackers has a welcoming and sociable atmosphere, making it a great place to meet fellow travelers. the large kitchen is well-equipped with multiple ovens and sinks, ensuring you won't have to wait to cook. the hostel also offers free internet access and a wide selection of DVDs for a cozy movie night. the friendly staff goes above and beyond to assist guests with their needs.

Some of the staff members could be more welcoming and accommodating, but this doesn't overshadow the overall positive experience at the backpackers.

The staff was excellent and extremely helpful. They were friendly and provided great customer service. the accommodation was conveniently located, within walking distance to the city center and other attractions. It was also a bonus to have access to free wifi, which was fast and reliable.

The rooms were smelly and dirty, with a strong unpleasant odor. the cleanliness of the bathrooms and kitchen was lacking, with dirty toilets and showers.

Friendly and helpful staff went the extra mile to assist with my bookings and provide dining recommendations. The bedroom was clean and had a large window, allowing for plenty of natural light. The common areas were inviting and the kitchen was decent. The free wifi was a nice bonus.

During my Christmas stay, I really liked that every bed had a little lamp and a socket. It was convenient to have my own light and power point, especially when I was relaxing in bed. the outside area/yard was really nice. It provided a peaceful space to enjoy the warm weather and unwind after a long day of exploring the city. Lastly, the friendly staff were always available to provide helpful information and recommendations.

There were a few aspects that I didn't particularly enjoy. the location could have been better.

Free towels, hair straighteners, and hair dryers. Spacious and clean showers. Great facilities including a computer room, TV room with Netflix, and a beautiful back garden with a BBQ area. Excellent location with a bus stop nearby. Exceptional customer service from the helpful manager/owner.

We got great value for our money at Around The World Backpackers. The room was clean, comfortable, and had free wifi, which was a plus. The staff were extremely nice and made our stay enjoyable.

The breakfast menu could have been improved with more variety.

Excellent central location with nearby bus stop, helpful manager/owner, clean bathrooms, plenty of hot water, tidy kitchens. Beautiful back garden and BBQ area for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Clean room, self-service towels at reception, well-stocked kitchen, no waiting for toilet/shower, friendly and sociable guests, great conversations.

I recently stayed at this hostel in the heart of the city for a couple of nights. The room was clean and spacious, with 4 comfortable beds and even a hairdryer. The staff were friendly and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. The hostel also had a big garden space with hammocks, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped, and I loved that they had spices for cooking. The WiFi was excellent, the best I've had in New Zealand. it was a great experience and I could happily live there if the beds were comfier.

I recently stayed at a fantastic backpacker in Christchurch called Around The World. I was visiting for a week and the spacious and well-appointed bedrooms made my stay extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. The free towels provided were a nice touch. The WiFi connection at this hotel was by far the best I've experienced in all of New Zealand, both in the communal areas and in the rooms. The kitchen was also spacious and well-equipped, though it could have been cleaner at times. The hotel's location was not in the heart of the city, but still convenient enough to get around.

I can recommend this hotel.
